Through affiliate Lien Aid, we have been striving to improve access to clean water and sanitation in southeast Asia. A separate educational programme, the Lien Environmental Fellowship, in partnership with the Nanyang Technological University, aims to enable successful candidates to develop and improve water, sanitation, and renewable, waste-to-energy solutions for developing communities in the region.
Lien Aid
Lien Aid is an international non-profit committed to enabling sustainable access to clean water and sanitation for Asia’s rural poor founded in 2006. Through partnerships with local governments, civil society organisations and private businesses, we hope to provide the impetus for better water governance and a future where clean water access is available to everyone.
Lien Environmental Fellowship
Launched in 2010, the Lien Environmental Fellowship programme empowers leading academics and researchers in Asia to tackle water and sanitation challenges in their home countries. There have been more than 10 community projects initiated by eight fellows across six countries – namely Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.
