ECHO is a framework to help caregivers extract therapeutic benefits out of everyday mundane routines, to maximise the development of their child with special needs.

Developed by KKH and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities with the support of NUH, ECHO provides a unified framework for early intervention service providers to measure functional outcomes for children and their families, such as those impacting the child’s social relationship and self-help behaviour.

This family-centred approach aims to optimise the potential of children with special needs by bringing early intervention from therapy settings into daily experiences. It guides and sets out standards and common goals for early intervention professionals, teachers, parents and other key figures in a child’s life.
