The Life Before Death was first initiated in 2006 to create greater public awareness about end-of-life issues.

With innovative and collaborative solutions, it seeks to de-stigmatise death and dying by spurring various ‘die-logues’ through the use of digital media, art, design, film, photography and research. 2 of the initiatives include:

Last Outfit: 23 diverse participants from all walks of life, all ages and creeds, all manner of fashion sense model their choice of a Last Outfit. Each is an expression of Life – from formal to informal, dressed-up to dressed-down and everything in-between.

Life Before Death the documentary: this award winning series of 50+ short films asks the fundamental question underpinning our mortality. The films journeys with remarkable patients and health care professionals across 11 countries including India, Australia, Uganda, South Africa and Singapore. Watch all the short films on YouTube.
